How does Goco Goes save you money?
We are not Capitalist(hear us out)
This might sound controversial for some people, but hear us out. Goco Goes is founded on the principle of Indigenous Humanity. We can not be capitalists. Capitalism is a form of economics where individuals and businesses own the means of production and property. From the perspective of Indigenous humanity, We are Nature, and we can own ideas and vision, but we can not own nature who we view as kin.
Because our business runs on principles of Indigenous Humanity, our main goal is sustainability in process and not profit for the sake of profit above all else. One amazing side-effect of this ideal is that we genuinely wish to give our members the best travel experiences while making just enough to keep going smoothly and with dignity.
Our Members help us LOWER cost
Hosting travel experiences is so much fun for us. We have been doing this for years now, but one of the main issues we encountered was making trips affordable without taking risk from price fluctuations or doing free work without compensation.
In simple terms, this meant having to raise prices to account for uncertainty making our price well above affordable. So, all of 2024, we decided to tackle this issue. Through considerable reflection and planning, we developed our membership model.
the membership model helps us a sense of sustainability by allowing us to fund these trips without having have our livelihood depend on it. This means we can create new and exciting trips without having to raise prices so high.
And this created a beautiful new way for us to build a community. Our members contributions make Goco Goes collectively possible. And now we can offer amazing experiences that emphasis personal connection.
2025 will be our first year offering trips at such low prices and it is both very exciting but it will also be a learning journey for us here at Goco Goes. Here is to creating a community of Peace and Friendship internationally.
Supporting Locals
We do not support international chains, resorts, or commercial rentals like airbnb. We have come to understand how those services often create bubbles that unintentionally segregate local peoples from foreign “expat” areas.
Because our goal is to develop Goco Goes as a business that support local people and community-based tourism, we exclusively work with local businesses and accommodations. This is one of the ways we mitigate our presence in the places we operate.
This also gives our members a chance to actually connect with locals in a manner that isn’t consumer related. The words I’m attempting to sue to describe this don’t fully capture how important that is, but those who join us and experience it in person will understand.
