How to apply for a passport like a pro

Getting your passport can either be incredibly stressful or almost effortless. And we are here to help make that process as simple as possible for you.

There are a couple of ways you can obtain your passport, here are the two pathways we recommend.

Option One

Post Office Appointment.

Go to the google maps app, search for your nearest post office, click on their website, schedule an appointment, and boom! Easy.

You will need a long-form birth certificate. If you do not have one, you can request one from the post office as well. 

You will need to pay the processing fees($165) and complete a DS-11 form. You can also bring your own passport foto which you can get at any CVS, Walgreens, or Walmart. Or you can opt to take the photo there for an additional $15. 

The staff are helpful and will be able to direct you during all steps so you do not have to worry.

Option Two

There are dedicated offices especially to help you process your passport. The steps are identical to the post office, however, there is usually an additional fee or perhaps a line for you to wait in. 

Either way, you will be guided throughout the process so no worries.

You will need a long-form birth certificate.

A passport photo (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, or at the processing center for an additional fee of $15)

$165 processing fee

Optional $60 expedite fee
