I was sitting through another zoom call when I had this deep sensation to run outside and breathe fresh air. It was my spirit calling me to break free from the restrictions of virtual-only working.

I longed for the warmth of the tropical sun. The coolness of the Caribbean breeze that flowed passed me years prior.

I am a son and a father. An Indigenous man of the Coahuiltec nation. The healing waters of Yanaguana flow through my spirit, a strong will to move and see, and experience, and love, and to live.

At that moment during the zoom call. I knew my spirit needed the warmth of the sun and the coolness of the breeze. I need to break free.

Years passed, I served in the US Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. I had become accustomed to the tranquil life of the Caribbean. The abundance of natural beauty existed on all corners of the nation. Dajabon became my new home.

I created Goco Goes to present to you, the same experience I had by replicating the world-class cultural immersion and language acquisition practices fulfilled by the Peace Corps.
